As the Borough of Bellmawr’s lead agency for redevelopment and brownfield environmental management, the BRDA works closely with the Borough’s Mayor & Members of Council, state agencies, private and non-profit developers, and members of Bellmawr’s residential and business communities to help the Borough achieve its development goals.
Mission
Pursuant to the New Jersey Local Redevelopment and Housing Law, N.J.S.A 40A: 12A- 8 and the Borough of Bellmawr Ordinance 09:16-17, the work of the Bellmawr Redevelopment Agency seeks to encourage the development & growth of a varied mixture of appropriate economic activities within its borders so as to increase available services; create additional employment; expand municipal tax base; remediate contaminated properties; improve and upgrade unused or inappropriately used properties and to provide for greater financial and economic stability in the future for the Borough and its citizens.
